No Kings Day - Brazos Valley Voices

June 16, 2025

The No Kings Day protests spread throughout the country this week, with a small amount of violence occurring in some major cities. The vast majority of protests throughout the United States and around the globe, remained peaceful. In Central Texas, there were protests in towns large and small, including in Bryan. On Friday, June 13, there was a thin crowd of around 60 people who stood on Texas at 26th St. The following day, however, the crowd had swelled, and the protesters lined Texas Avenue for three blocks on both sides of the street. The rough estimate is that around 300 people showed up to voice their concerns at the current administration. No police were visible during the three-hour protest as none seemed to be needed.
