Deborah Jo Meadors - June 3, 1952 - April 18, 2025

Deborah Jo Meadors was born on June 3, 1952, in Houston, Texas to parents, Harry and Wavel Carter.  She passed from this life, unexpectedly, on the early morning of Friday, April 18, 2025, at her home in Franklin, Texas.

Debbie attended Sam Houston High School in Houston. Debbie served as the Robertson County Auditor for 12 years, retiring in 1996.  She was a resident of Robertson County for 45 years.

She married the love of her life and devoted husband, Jerry Meadors, on February 15, 1969. They shared a strong and constant love for one another, renewing their vows a few times over their life together. Debbie was not only a loving wife, but a loving mother and grandmother and her presence will be sorely missed.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Wavel Carter, stepmother, Anne Carter and sisters, Harriett Real and Cynthia Webb.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jerry E. Meadors, Sr. of Franklin, her children: Melissa Winstead and husband James of Franklin, Jerry Meadors, Jr. and wife Carla of Thorndale, and Amanda Allen and husband Lucas of Canyon Lake, Texas.  She is also survived by her sister, Janet Boucher of Katy, brothers, Billy Carter and Larry Carter both of Magnolia, 7 grandchildren: Dylan Winstead, Evyn Winstead, Ashtyn Jackson, Morgan Meadors, Hailey Meadors, Hannah Allen and Dinah Allen, 5 great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

 A service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home Chapel.  Curtis Archer will officiate. A Burial will follow in the Camp Creek Cemetery.  A visitation will take place on the evening of Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.
